Happy Birthday, Doc!

So, if you came here from Steph's blog, you are on the right track! If not, go back to Lizzie's blog and start the hop! So much fun and inspiration along the way!

So, today is Doc Mechele Rudd's birthday! We are so excited to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY so we thought a quick birthday blog hop is in order! We are going to fill you up with inspiration, instead of cake. Cause....I don't think it would translate too well...and besides...if you were licking your monitor to get the icing...just sayin. SO, instead how about some paper inspiration?

This card is made with one of the sets from The Stamp Doctor. I loved coloring the float. It is so cute! I used twine and some fun polka-dot paper to set the whole thing off. I used Spellbinders circles and scallops for the sentiment.

Here is the list of blogs! Be sure you hit them all! Lots of fun birthday surprises along the way!

Hope these delicious colors inspire you! Happy birthday, Doc! Hope its a GREAT one! Don't forget to hop over to The Stamp Doctor's blog to say happy birthday to Doctor Mechele!

Holiday Smash*ing

Because what else would I be posting about? Haha. I was SO ecstatic when I finally got my hands on the Smash* Holiday bundle (you can find it at your local Michaels. Call and see if they have any! http://www.michaels.com/)

So, the first thing that I did was I go through my computer archive and print pictures from every Christmas with my Husband from the year we got married to the present. A lot of people talk about December Daily and Project Life during the Christmas season, but honestly, I don't have the time to commit to something every single day; not to mention, what would I do with TEN BOOKS? Not to mention the rest of my life? This book is perfect to carry on with every single year and I can't wait to add this year's memories to it.

So, this post is seriously photo heavy, however, I discovered that my public library has great lighting for photos! Might have to remember that!

So, I also got to do another video! Please excuse my cat's lame attempt to photo bomb. She is nuts. Also, apologies for the loudness of the music. It was not supposed to be so loud. Still getting the hang of everything. Hope the inspires you to get started on your book!!!

Have A Seat

Today I have a place card and a napkin ring to share with you! Something new, and different! I can't wait until my husband and I have a place where we can host a family/friend meal for Thanksgiving. I know it will happen someday. For now, I will share these 2 items with you.

For this set I used the Autumn stamp collection from The Stamp Doctor. I tried to use real leaves for my coloring inspiration. The copics I used were:

Y23
YR65
E35
YG03
YR09
E23

I used the oderless, colorless blender copic to pre-treat the leaf and then dotted and layered the colors over and over and kept blending to make it sort of water color looking.
Please excuse the paper napkin. We live like animals and have no real napkins. HA. I used wired burlap ribbon to make the ring and used heavy duty double-sided tape to hold the paper onto the burlap.
I also used spellbinders nestabilities, labels 25 and Echo Park paper, the Reflections collection.
I hope this inspires you this Thanksgiving! I would love to see how you use these stamps! Always feel free to link up your projects using Stamp Doctor products! Happy Thanksgiving to all in the USA!

Harvest Blessings

Thanksgiving is, without a doubt, my favorite holiday. I know it sounds strange, but it really is. We get together with friends and/or family and there are no expectations. Its relaxing. Its fun and laughter, games and food. LOTS of food. No rushing around looking for that last minute forgotten gift. No worrying about hurting someone's feelings if you can't make the trip...just pure thankfulness and fun.

For this card, I used the autumn stamp collection found over at the Stamp Doctor's website. I used paper from Echo Park's Reflections collection.  Its so beautiful and it was perfect for this Thanksgiving card.
I colored the turkey and veggies with Copics.

Then, I decided I wanted to add some depth to the turkey, so I popped out the apples and oranges with some foam adhesive squares.
And, in keeping with my recent desire to complete the card inside and out, I cut out the word Thankful from the echo park papers (also the give thanks on the front of the card). Just makes it pop.
Even if you are in a state (or country) that is covered in snow for the moment, I hope this brings you the warmth and happiness of Autumn and Thanksgiving. Happy crafting, and be sure to link up any projects you have done with Stamp Doctor stamps!!!

Happy Snow Day!

Actually, I am sure there ARE a few of you in the Northern United States that are having a snow day. Its been some crazy weather already this year for some of you!!

I decided it was high time to make a Christmas Tag!

To do this I used a typical utilitarian tag. Just your run-of-the-mill tag. Have you all seen the Finnley Christmas paper collection from Glitz? Its to die for..AND you can get it from the Stamp Doctor. Did you know that? HECK YES! I am in love with the non-traditional colors and patterns. Red and Green alone bug me. I need something that is more...ME. So I love this paper for that reason.

The image is from Let It Snow Circles from The Stamp Doctor. You can find pieces of the set here. And you can always contact the good doctor to request the full set!

Nestabilities from Spellbinders are always a big hit with me. Makes it easy to stamp and go! Used the circle set as well as the circle scallop set. Add some flair, and BAM! Fabulous tag!! Happy winter, Merry Christmas and Happy Happy!!

Sweet little elf!

I went "shopping" for some new Christmas stamps the other day and found this adorable Some Odd Girl elf and had to buy him. He was too fun! Had a blast coloring him too! Literally had to take a break from cleaning yesterday and color. He was that cute.

Admittedly, this is not the best photo I have ever taken of a card, but give me a break! It was like 5:30 and already DARK. Man, I hate the time falling back. What a waste of perfectly good sunlight. LAME.

Also, I managed to record a NOT so crappy video today! WOO!  A flip through of my black mod style Smash* book! Check it out:

Hope I have inspired you to get crafting for Christmas, or whatever holiday you plan to celebrate! OR to Smash*. You know, WHATEVER!

Tis The Season To Get Crafty!

So believe it or not, I have made a BUNCH of things lately! Sitting down to blog, not-so-much. So I am going to seriously bloggy up in here! Hold on to your hats!

Every year I make my own Christmas cards. I always have mixed feelings. I don't want to send something I made to someone who may throw it away, but I want to send cards....Its tricky. However, I am very inspired this year so I am hoping to get a BUNCH out this year!

So, this card is made using Glitz papers and Some Odd Girl's lil deer image. I colored him with Copics and had a lot of fun coloring him. The card just fell into place. The sentiment was a 1 dollar stamp from Michaels.

This next card also made using Glitz papers, and the image is Tangled Jude from Simply Betty.

This card is a simple one. The papers are from Echo Park, and the image is from Stampin Up!, Lovely As A Tree. The ink is memento.

Another little simple card. I used Lovely As A Tree and Echo Park papers again, but I embossed the tree with some glitter/gray embossing powder from JoAnn. The Sentiment is from Stampin Up!

This card I had fun with. Love Dilly Beans! How cute is this little girl?!? The papers are some scraps that I had from years past. Who knows the brand? The sentiment is Stampin Up!

So this is how I am starting off! I can't wait to get more cards done. Love sending out my bundle of Happy Tidings after Thanksgiving. Hope this inspires you on your Holiday crafting!
